Katy Tyndell

Raised with deep Kansas roots, Katy Tyndell earned degrees from Stanford University and the University of Maryland School of Law before serving as Staff Attorney for the National Congress of American Indians. With two decades of experience in energy management and small business, she brings practical economic insight to public service.  A longtime community advocate, Tyndell co-founded Leading Kansas, a nonpartisan organization focused on bringing Kansans together across political divides to strengthen civic engagement and find common ground. That work—and her belief that politics should be about solving problems rather than picking sides—inspired her to run for Congress. Tyndell’s campaign centers on putting people over party and tackling the issues that matter most to working families south-central Kansas.
