Brian Poindexter

The son of a union machinist, Brian Poindexter grew up in Cleveland and spent decades working demanding blue-collar jobs, from factories to interstate truck driving, before joining the Ironworkers. He earned an Associate Degree in Applied Industrial Technology from Cuyahoga Community College while completing his apprenticeship, eventually running major regional infrastructure projects. A fierce advocate for labor, Poindexter's platform prioritizes protecting workers' rights, expanding access to quality healthcare, and stopping tax breaks for companies outsourcing American jobs. He is running to bring authentic, tool-belt-wearing representation to Congress.
