Dr. Kimberly Hardy

The daughter of a Marine Corps veteran and federal agent, Dr. Kimberly Hardy earned her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees from Morgan State University and a master’s degree from The Ohio State University. After years serving as a school social worker, she became a professor at Fayetteville State University and 2nd Vice-Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party. Grounded in community service and kitchen-table economics, Hardy's legislative platform prioritizes raising the federal minimum wage, lowering healthcare and prescription costs, repairing public school infrastructure, and funding coastal resilience projects to protect rural and working-class communities.
