Marquette Green-Scott

Raised in Opelousas, Louisiana, Marquette Greene-Scott earned mathematics degrees from Southern University before graduating from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She began her career as a public school teacher and university professor before practicing law and serving as Iowa Colony Mayor Pro Tem. Grounded in kitchen-table economics and grassroots advocacy, Greene-Scott's campaign platform centers on protecting the Affordable Care Act, lowering prescription drug prices, expanding the Child Tax Credit, and preserving Social Security.
